RUGGED Ministries

We call ourselves Rugged - because the path to Jesus often seems rugged. Rugged Ministries is an outdoor discipleship ministry here in Denver that is focused on college students. We are utilizing wilderness/outdoor activities to draw students closer to God. So many students come to Colorado for the mountains; we want to help them see the majesty of God in the mountains. Snowboarding, climbing, and so on are weekly/big trip activities that we will use to build relationships. We will have weekly bible studies, one on ones, worship….. We are not a camp, nor are we a guide service.

Rugged Ministries is about loving others and developing real, meaningful relationships based on trust and respect. Out of these authentic relationships we share our lives, our God. Just as God transformed our lives through the influence of individuals, He will transform those who engage in Rugged Ministries. We are about ministering to and helping others live for Christ in our natural environments: school, work, the outdoors -- places where God has already put us.

We are passionate about connecting with all types of people from every walk of life regardless of their past experience or questions about faith. Our desire is to create an environment where people are free to be honest about their faith, struggles, joys and hardships. Our hope is to help guide people along this rugged path as we guide them in an array of activities in the bible and in the outdoors. In the process we will together come to know Christ on a deeper level.
